Two Northern California artists are fascinated with urban objects that have lost their functionality in the 21st century and which are quickly becoming relics of a by-gone era.

Their goals are to locate these relics and then artfully 'altar' them.

This site offers a place to view the physically altar'd Urban Relics which the artists have personally worked on. As time progresses, the site will also include artwork from other artists who have discovered the joy of 'altaring' these familiar and now functionless icons of our evolving society.

In all cases, artists have been responsible for obtaining the required permission to altar property that does not belong to them.
